2025 Fall Emerging Scholar Calendar of Events
Categories
INTEGRAL – “Yes/No” 100 points
Completion of these activities are required to stay in good standing as an Emerging Research Scholar.
CORE – 40 points
These are the most crucial activities for a scholars success in pursuing Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URCA). The skills developed through these experiences are a foundation of the program and attending them is central to being a "True Scholar."
EXPLORATORY – 30 points
These are for more personalized enrichment and allow scholars to further differentiate themselves from other participants in the program. These activities typically included networking opportunities and produce skills and attributes that you can highlight when seeking an URCA partnership.
SUPPLEMENTAL – 10 points
These opportunities focus on the enrichment of a scholar's personal academic and research goals. While activities are worth less points, some of them can result in attaining additional certificates (e.g., the TTU Librarys Certificate of Completion in Research Strategies.)
