"Afternoon at the Opera"

The "Afternoon at the Opera" is a program offering TTU students to see a world class opera, with the world's best performers, on one of the world's biggest stages. The Metropolitan Opera has teamed up with movie theaters nationwide to broadcast famous operas live in HD from the Met's grand stage in New York City. The Institute for the Study of Western Civilization structured these events by organizing a one-hour lecture given by Dr. Cimarusti before each performance and fully subsidizing the cost of the tickets, therefore allowing students to see these works of art for free.
