Isabel Almeida Trigo
Year of MA/PhD: 1st year of M.A. in Spanish Literature and Cultural Studies
Isabel was born and raised in Seville, Spain, where she also graduated from the University of Seville with a B.A. in English Studies (English Literature and English Language and Linguistics) in 2023. During her time as an undergraduate student, she spent a year abroad at the University of Glasgow, in Scotland, and collaborated in a research project on (self)censorship in En>Es LGBTIQ+ narrative translation and publication during Franco's dictatorship in Spain (catálogo TRACEni_lgbt+ 1939-1983). Currently, she works as a Teaching Assistant at Texas Tech University while pursuing her M.A. in Spanish Literature and Cultural Studies.

Translation Studies, Creative Writing, Cultural Studies, Gender Studies, Ecocriticism and Ecofeminism, Contemporary Spanish Literature, Latinx Studies, SLA and Spanish as a Heritage Language
