Graduate Financial Aid & Scholarships
Teaching and research assistantships are available in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering to qualified students at both the
M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. levels. Assistantship appointments typically are either quarter−time or half−time. Stipends range from $5,000 to
over $22,000 for the 9−month academic year. Summer appointments frequently are available as well.
The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering also offers competitive academic scholarships. A recipient of a teaching assistantship, research assistantship, or competitive academic scholarship qualifies for in−state tuition, which provides a substantial financial benefit for a non-Texas resident. Students also may apply for grants, loans, and financial aid at the Texas Tech University Office of Student Financial Aid in West Hall.
