Texas Tech University

Graduate Financial Aid & Scholarships

Teaching and research assistantships are available in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering to qualified students at both the MSEE and PhD levels. Assistantship appointments typically are either quarter−time or half−time. Stipends range from $5,000 to $22,000 per year.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering also offers competitive academic scholarships. A recipient of a teaching assistantship, research assistantship, or competitive academic scholarship qualifies for in−state tuition, which provides a substantial financial benefit for a non-Texas resident. Students also may apply for grants, loans, and financial aid at the Texas Tech University Office of Student Financial Aid in West Hall.
