(FAQ 4) What are "mentor teams?"

The student will be mentored by a TTU P3E faculty member and, if applicable, experienced graduate students. The student will be expected to meet with the faculty for ~0.5 hours, bi-weekly in person. The mentors will review student progress, study issues, internship possibilities, and other topics of benefit to the student.

(FAQ 5). Do awardees need to join the PSPE (Program for Semiconductor Product Engineering) after finishing their BS degree?

No. However, the Pulsed Power program at Texas Tech program has been a great pathway for students to enter the pulsed power field. As a research assistant in the P3E center, you will travel and present your work at international conferences. While working on a pulsed power related project towards the MS EE degree you will be supported by approx. $2,300.-/month salary. See Figure 1 for a typical plan for a student that receives the scholarship as a junior and continues on to the P3E program (MS EE) as a graduate student.
