CALUE Undergraduate Research Conference & Awards Banquet 2016 – Lubbock, TX

Kristen and Orlando presented research posters at Center for Active Learning and Undergraduate Engagement's annual Undergraduate Research Conference. Kristen presented a poster, under the mentorship of Rebecca, about how different interviewer language strategies elicited more content and depth, and how this differed for male and female interviewers. Orlando, under the mentorship of Shu, presented a poster about how couples having good conflict resolution skills can mitigate the impact financial strain may have on marital satisfaction.

Our lab was recognized in three ways at the CALUE Awards banquet. First, Dr. Niehuis was awarded the Outstanding Faculty Mentor Award, which was accepted on her behalf by Dr. Reifman. Second, Kristen's was recognized for receiving Honorable Mention for the Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award.
