Department of Design
From designing beautiful apparel using creativity and technological innovation to generating creative interiors using evidence-based design and collaboration, students receive hands-on design experience while learning from a diverse faculty dedicated to instruction, creative activities and research.
Human Development & Family Studies
Ranked as one of the top programs of its kind in the country, Texas Tech’s HDFS offers students a unique, interdisciplinary approach to understanding family dynamics and interaction and a teacher certification program in early childhood.

Personal Financial Planning
PFP degree programs are organized around the core areas of financial planning fundamentals, risk management, investments, tax planning, retirement planning, employee benefits, and estate planning, plus supporting courses in economics, communications, social sciences and a graded internship. Students are prepared to enter financial services careers stressing leadership, ethical behavior, and professionalism and qualified to sit for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certification Examination.
