Department of Design
TECHstyle is an event that the Department of Design has created to show off its students in style. For the third year, Apparel Design & Manufacturing Students were recognized for their hard work and efforts during this event. TECHstyle is a cocktail event with a hors d'oeuvres reception and a fashion show that was held April 24, 2010 at the Allen Theater in the Student Union building here in Lubbock, TX.

Interior Design students participate in a wide range of design experiences: lectures, studios, seminars, group presentations and discussions, professional critiques, field trips, and field experiences. The interior design program has limited enrollment and emphasizes practical application of multidisciplinary principles to residential and nonresidential interior environments. The Department of Design offers two graduate degrees:
- The Master of Science in Environmental Design
- The Doctor of Philosophy in Interior and Environmental Design
An optional internship is offered for students who have not previously had practicing professional experience in interior design or allied disciplines.
