Ph.D. in Systems & Engineering Management
The Doctoral program in Systems and Engineering Management (S.E.M.) is designed to prepare engineering management professionals for current and future leadership roles. The Bureau of Labor Statistics growth rates for engineering management professionals project that these roles will increase by 30% in the next decade. The blended delivery of the Doctor of Philosophy in Systems and Engineering Management at Texas Tech at Amarillo is provided in order to meet the growing need in the Panhandle region for technical managers with strong engineering, science, technical, management and financial knowledge and leadership abilities.
Students in the Ph.D. S.E.M. program are subject to all Ph.D. degree regulations as outlined in the Graduate Catalog. Students should submit three
letters of recommendation and a statement of purpose as part of their admission packet for this program. These items should be sent to the industrial
