Doctor of Philosophy Curriculum & Courses
Areas of Study
All petroleum engineering courses can be taken for credit. A grade of B or better must be obtained in all graduate courses. No more than six hours of PETR 5000 can appear in a doctoral degree plan without approval from the graduate dean. The curriculum is organized into five core areas that denote the teaching and research concentration of the faculty. The doctoral degree plan should include at least two courses in each core area.
