Eligibility Requirements
Citizenship & Clearance
● Must be a U.S. citizen (no dual citizenship allowed).
● Must qualify for a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
clearance.
● Some positions require passing a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
Education & Experience
● A bachelors degree is required for officer and direct commissioning programs—STEM
majors are preferred.
● Prior cybersecurity or software development experience is highly valued.
● Enlisted Cyber Operations Specialists (17C) must meet ASVAB standards: GT score
110 and ST score 112.
Physical & Professional Standards
● Meet Army physical fitness and medical requirements.
● Maintain a clean record and strong moral character.
● Age limit: under 41 for the Cyber Direct Commission Program.
● New officers complete a 6-week Direct Commission Course and 10-week Cyber
Basic Officer Leaders Course.
