Dr. Jatindra Nath Tripathy serves as the Graduate Advisor of the MS Biotechnology Program. He is also an adjunct graduate faculty in Biological Sciences.
In his current position and capacity, Dr. Tripathy spearheads the recruiting, admission, teaching, advising and monitoring students' progress in the MS Biotechnology program. He is instrumental in creating and teaching new courses like bionanotechnology, Synthetic Biology, Protein engineering (that he co-teaches with Prof Bryan Sutton of TTUHSC), Advanced Plant Biotechnology and Methods in Biotechnology.
Dr. Tripathy's brings with him 25 years of research experience in both basic and applied sciences. His research interest spans from a wide range of subjects stemming from molecular genetics, crop physiology and agronomy, protein chemistry, enzyme kinetics and bionanotechnology.
