Veterans Career Program Overview of Services

Career Exploration. A career counselor will meet with you to identify your individual career needs and together, create a planto assist you in your career development.

Career Assessments. Career tests can help you identify your interests, strengths, values, and personality and find connections to possible career paths and majors. All of our assessments are free and available online. They may found at this link: Career Assessments

Job Search. A career counselor will assist you in creating and ediitng your civilian resume to include your military service, explore job search resources and help you prepare for area and university career fairs. More information about our job boards can be found on our Search for Jobs page.  

Career Webinars and Workshops. We provide information on topics such as job search strategies, networking, how to use AI ethically, business dining etiquette and how to work a job fair. You may find webinars, workshops and other events on the UCC event calendar on our Events page

Mock Interviews. A career counselor will help you prepare for interviewing for internships, employment, or graduate/professional schools. Interviews can be over the phone, virtual, or in-person and may be individual or with a panel of staff to provide practice and feedback for your upcoming interview.

Preparing for Graduate or Professional School. The UCC assists student in editing content for application essays and personal statements to graduate or professional programs, as well as workshops to help you prepare your documents or boost your interviewing skills.
