Where is the University Career Center located?

We are located on the southeast corner of the Wiggins Complex. Wiggins is located west of the Chitwood Weymouth dorms and east of the Law School in the same building as Sam's Place West, Hospitality, and Housing. When viewing the campus map, select Career Services, University to locate Wiggins.

Do students have to schedule an appointment to utilize UCC services?

While we do our best to accommodate walk-ins, students are highly encourages to schedule an appointment with the Career Center to ensure adequate time to address their needs. To schedule an appointment, students will need to login to Hire Red Raiders using their eRaider information and make an appointment online. If you have any questions navigating the site, please call our office at (806) 742-2210. 

Can a UCC professional make a presentation to my class or student organization about career development?

Yes, the UCC staff is available for presentations. To learn more, view our Presentation Request page.

My students are required to provide proof of participating in a mock interview or document review. Is a review of the student's performance provided?

Any of our staff can provide a written critique through our standardized rubric. Please note that not all students who use our serviceswill receive a rubric, so please inform your students to let us know they need will need the rubric for their assignment. 

How can I incorporate career services into my class?  

In addition to providing presentations, the University Career Center provides event verification letters at all of our events if you wanted to offer extra credit for career fair, networking event, or etiquette dinner attendance. Some classes have incorporated assessments into their coursework or sent students over for a document review or mock interview appointement. We are also happy to collaborate and provide something more individualized to your students and discipline.
