Coming to Texas Tech, I knew that I wanted to pursue business-related organizations that would allow me to foster friendships and expand my professional network. I was seeking a community in which I could grow, so accepting my bid within the Alpha Kappa Psi co-ed business fraternity was something I was very excited to do. Immersing myself within the fraternity's culture will be extremely rewarding in terms of community service, activities, as well as networking. I look forward to becoming close with my new brothers and gaining new perspectives along the way.

My experience at the UCC was fantastic. It truly was the best decision I have made thus far in terms of making myself more marketable. Lead Counselor, Lexie Lee, was amazing and very helpful. I came to her the day before my Alpha Kappa Psi interview and we reformatted my resume to ensure that I was as prepared as possible. The tips she gave me were invaluable, and I plan to take them with me throughout the duration of my college experience and beyond. My perspective changed as a result of this experience in ways I never expected. There were certain aspects about resumes that I was did not know about, so the fact that I am now better informed is a very big deal. I can finally say that I have a resume that reflects my accomplishments and myself as a student. I would recommend going at the beginning of the day if you plan on going to Resume Critique Day at the University Career Center so that you can speak with someone rather quickly. Also, I highly recommend seeing Lead Counselor, Lexie Lee, for my experience with her was truly great.
