As a product of The Children's Home of Lubbock and the foster care system, I have always felt a calling to be apart of the foster care system in some way. As I enter my senior year I have been given the opportunity to finally enter this field and work alongside an organization that makes a positive impact in the lives and future of the children in our local foster care system.

After working with the UCC, I accepted the role as Advocacy Coordinator for CASA of the South Plains. The most exciting part about my new role will be collaborating with colleagues and volunteers in making a positive impact for the children.

Toni Krebbs was my advisor and she was AMAZING; she walked me through my entire application and interview process. She critiqued my resume and pointed out qualities to look for within myself and the organization. I could not have gotten this opportunity without the Career Center. It allowed me to see what a great resource the Career Center is for Texas Tech students, I have a great appreciation for this department.

A great tip I learned from the University Career Center is to keep your resume simple; you do not need all of the colors and designs.
