Bradley T. Ewing holds the C.T. McLaughlin Endowed Chair of Free Enterprise and is Professor of Energy Commerce and Business Economics in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. Professor Ewing has a Ph.D. in economics from Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management. He has held faculty positions at Baylor University and Georgia Southern University and started his career as a research economist for Economic Research Services, Inc. Dr. Ewing’s research primarily focuses on the economics of natural hazards, infrastructure, and energy. He is on the faculty of the National Wind Institute and received the NWI’s Faculty Innovation Award. He is the recipient of grants and funding from a number of sponsors including the National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Economic Development Administration, Texas Rural Water Association, Permian Basin Petroleum Association and the Texas Pipeline Association. Dr. Ewing has published over 180 peer-reviewed articles and has served as editor and on the editorial board of several academic journals.
