Amin Sobhani is a Ph.D. student in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Construction Engineering at Texas Tech University. His research focuses on climate-resilient and equitable housing, post-disaster recovery, and the intersection of technology and policy in advancing housing solutions.

He previously studied for a Master of Science in Architecture at the University of Cincinnati and also holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Tehran, where his research focused on affordable housing and community engagement in informal settlements. With a background in both architecture and engineering, he bridges design, construction, and policy to develop innovative solutions for vulnerable communities. His interests include agent-based modeling and data-driven approaches to better understand post-disaster housing recovery and improve housing resilience.

At CECREH, he is working on research examining disaster recovery processes and housing disparities, aiming to contribute to more effective and equitable housing policies.
