Career Advancement Mentoring Program

Build the connections and insight you need to move from the classroom to your career.

What is CAMP?

A connection between where you are and where you want to go.

The Career Advancement Mentoring Program (CAMP) connects Whitacre College of Engineering students with alumni who have already navigated the path ahead. Through one-on-one mentorship, students gain insight into internships, career paths, and the transition from college to the engineering profession.

CAMP creates a space for honest conversations, meaningful connections, and real-world advice from professionals who understand exactly where you are—and where you want to go.

Why CAMP Matters

Turn classroom preparation into career readiness.

Engineering isn't just about what you learn in the classroom—it's about how you apply it in the real world. CAMP bridges that gap by giving students direct access to professionals who have turned their degrees into careers.

Find direction

Gain clarity on career paths, industries, roles, and professional expectations.

Build confidence

Have real conversations with professionals who understand the transition from student to engineer.

Stand out

Learn how to prepare for internships, interviews, job searches, and early-career opportunities.

Grow your network

Develop meaningful relationships with alumni and industry professionals before graduation.

How It Works

A simple process built around meaningful mentorship.

Whitacre College of Engineering junior and senior students are automatically enrolled in CAMP if they are eligible for the program. Students are then thoughtfully matched with alumni mentors based on major, industry, and career interests.

Each pairing is designed to create relevant conversations that support the transition from college into the engineering profession.
