Child Development Research Center

The Christine DeVitt and Helen DeVitt Jones Child Development Research Center is under the direction of the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences in the College of Health & Human Sciences.

The Director and Associate Director both hold advanced degrees. Our directors teach laboratory seminars, coordinate the lab experiences for college students, and oversee the children's program.

All classrooms are staffed by 2 full-time degreed teachers who are responsible for organizing the educational components of their programs and for providing models of developmentally appropriate practice to Texas Tech students.
