Dr. Tuliao is an assistant professor in Addictive Disorders and Recovery Studies. Prior to completing his M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, Dr. Tuliao received his M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the Ateneo De Manila University, Philippines.  As a substance abuse researcher, Dr. Tuliao is interested in the underlying mechanisms that drive substance use disorder, in the treatment of addictive behaviors, and in the prevention of substance use-related harm. He has authored/co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications on substance use-related topics, particularly on increasing treatment utilization and harm reduction. (Email: Antover.Tuliao@ttu.edu

Nephtaly Joel B. Botor

PhD Student in Addictive Disorders and Recovery Studies

Nephtaly Joel B. Botor is a PhD student in Addictive Disorders and Recovery Studies, affiliated as a research assistant at the laboratory on substance use, culture, and decision-making. He earned his B.S. Psychology from the Ateneo de Naga University and M.A. in Education, specializing in guidance and counseling from the University of the Philippines. His prior research and extension work focused on mental health, family resilience in disaster situations, and gender.  Currently, his doctoral research is on minority stress processes (e.g., microaggression) and their intersection with substance use.
