Attention Blackboard Faculty
Blackboard Learn Services Extended Maintenance is complete
TTU Blackboard Learn services extended maintenance is now complete and access to TTU Blackboard Learn services are now available.
The TTU IT Division, working in cooperation with eLearning, the TLPDC, and Blackboard Managed Hosting, has completed the extended maintenance on the TTU Blackboard Learn services. The TTU Blackboard Learn service is now hosted in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment and service has been re-established. As a reminder, the SaaS migration did not change the navigation and user experience for faculty, staff, and students, and all content has been migrated.
Should you experience any issues please contact IT Help Central at (806) 742-4357 (HELP) or email@example.com.
Spring 2020 Courses
As we approach the end of the Fall 2020 semester, please see the following updates
in regard to Spring 2021 courses. Due to the increase in online and hybrid courses,
we will be pushing all Spring 2021 live courses to Blackboard. On November 3rd at 5:00 pm all Spring 2021 live courses, that are in Banner, will be pushed to Blackboard. You
will be able to access your Spring 2021 courses at ttu.blackboard.com.
Additional Blackboard Support
TTU eLearning and the IT Division are happy to introduce an additional support option
in Blackboard; the tool is called Eesysoft. You will notice messages throughout Blackboard
with links to support documents and webpages. You will also notice a question mark
and support tab in the bottom right corner of Blackboard. You can click on that link
to access Blackboard support documents and information.
Videos in Blackboard
Due to the current national situation and the major shift to all online teaching,
we are working diligently to monitor our limited online resources. In light of this,
we are asking all faculty to utilize the Mediasite Presentation function within Blackboard,
as opposed to only uploading videos into Blackboard directly. We have sufficient storage
within our Mediasite lecture capture system, but limited storage in Blackboard. If
you need additional assistance with linking to Mediasite within the Blackboard Learn
system, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. If you need assistance with Mediasite, please contact email@example.com.
For all other issues please contact IT Help Central at (806) 742-4357 (HELP) or firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your partnership as we navigate through this pandemic, collaborating to conserve institutional resources where possible.
Compliant with NCAA requirements, athletic academic advisors have "observer" access in Blackboard for their student athletes. Observer access provides limited view-only course progress and performance information. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of the Provost: eLearning & Academic Partnerships at email@example.com.
Regular Maintenance Schedule
The TTU Blackboard Steering Group has reserved Friday morning, 3:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., each week for system maintenance on the Blackboard Learning Management System. During these periods, the Blackboard system may be unavailable. Should you experience outages outside of these times, please contact IT Help Central at (806)742-4357 (HELP).
