Summer Swift Coding Camps
This July, the iOS Design Lab at TTU DFW is hosting hands-on coding camps for students in grades 4–12. Participants will learn to design and build apps using Swift and SwiftUI, while exploring Apples latest spatial computing tools.

Student Field Trips to the Lab
Exciting field trip opportunities for third to twelfth graders are available, featuring interactive workshops that introduce students to the world of technology.

Focus of the day:
- What is Coding? Demystify coding with engaging STEAM activities that make learning fun and accessible.
- Problem Solving and Critical Thinking: Develop essential skills through coding challenges and creative projects.
- Hands-on with iPads: Learn the basics of coding in Apple's programming language, Swift.
- Future Tech Exploration: Dive into thought-provoking discussions about the ever-evolving world of technology, igniting imagination and preparing students for a tech-driven future.
Total Teaching Transformation with Technology
Looking to integrate technology seamlessly into the classroom? Our professional development program is designed for educators of all experience levels and ranges from 30-minute breakout sessions to multi-day workshops.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS INCLUDE:
- Lesson planning using AI
- iPad as a tool for coding in Swift Playgrounds
- Using a design sprint methodology, participants will learn to identify problems, brainstorm solutions, prototype, and test app ideas. The workshop will emphasize practical application across all subject areas and age groups.

Tech Integration Made Easy: Discover practical strategies for incorporating technology into the curriculum, enhancing engagement and learning outcomes.
Coding for Educators: Take the next step and become a coding teacher. Join “Total Teaching Transformation.” These workshops equip educators with the STEAM skills to teach iOS Mobile App Development in the classroom.
Flexible Learning Options: Workshops are offered both at the Texas Tech DFW site and off-site to fit various schedules. Add excitement to professional development events by booking a coding breakout session.
Expert Instruction: Learn from a passionate and experienced instructor. Workshops are led by a certified Swift Programming Developer and computer science teacher with 20 years of experience.

Texas Tech DFW Coding Club: Calling all future coders! Texas Tech DFW will be home to a Swift Coding Club for middle and high school students. This is a chance to collaborate with students from other schools on incredible projects. Work together virtually, share ideas, and culminate in a special event where teammates can meet and showcase their creations.
Girls Who Code: The Masked Coders The iOS Design Lab is proud to introduce Girls Who Code - The Masked Coders.
