Research AreaHigh Energy Physics

Overview

The Experimental Particle Physics group at TTU, led by Professors Akchurin, Feng, Lee, Madrid, and Volobouev, participates in the CMS experiment at CERN’s LHC and conducts advanced detector R&D. The group focuses on Standard Model measurements, beyond-the-Standard-Model searches, and major upgrades to the CMS end-cap calorimeters for the High-Luminosity LHC. Research is supported by the Advanced Particle Detector Laboratory, the High-Performance Computing Center, and collaborations with Fermilab’s LHC Physics Center, with ongoing detector R&D for future colliders such as the FCC and ILC.
