Ganga manages life science technologies across the Texas Tech University System, guiding researchers through intellectual property and commercialization processes.

Ganga Baskar is a Licensing Associate with the Office of Research Commercialization. Although new to ORC, she brings extensive experience within the Texas Tech innovation ecosystem through her previous work at the Texas Tech Innovation Hub. In her current role, she supports researchers at the TTU School of Veterinary Medicine and TTUHSC Pharmacy Schools in assessing market potential and navigating intellectual property matters to facilitate bringing their innovations to market.

At the Innovation Hub, Ganga served as the Commercialization Program Director, where she led initiatives such as NSF I-Corps, the Prototype Fund, and the Presidents’ Innovative Startup Award. She also served as an I-Corps instructor, training over 130 teams regionally. Prior to that, she worked at NemaLife Inc., a Texas Tech spinout, where she held roles as a Research Scientist and later as a Business Development Manager.

Ganga earned her Ph.D. in Human Genetics from Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research in Chennai, India, and her research in cancer biology and nanomedicine has resulted in five publications. She received the AUTM Foundation Susan Riley Keyes Memorial Fellowship in Technology Transfer in 2021.
