Changes to EHS Services

In response to TTU's COVID-19 modified work requirements, Environmental Health & Safety will be operating with reduced on-campus staff. Going forward, all hazardous waste pick-ups (prioritized by risk) will occur on Wednesdays from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Chemical deliveries to academic work areas are now closed beginning Monday, March 23rd.

Coronavirus Pandemic, 2019

Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) virion.

As of March 11, 2020 the newly emergent strain of Coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, is responsible for the first pandemic caused by a Coronavirus, a mere 6 weeks after being declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) by the World Health Organization.  

There are currently 10 cases in the Lubbock area, two of which are community spread from previously known cases.
