Accessing and Understanding Research Data Dashboards

To access reports and dashboards provided by Research & Innovation, users log in using their eRaider username and password. Once inside, users can explore data and metrics designed to inform and support research efforts across the university.

Our team offers individual and group training sessions to help users navigate and interpret research data. These sessions provide an overview of available metrics, explain where to locate specific data and offer guidance on interpreting the information effectively.

Responsible Use of Research Data

The data presented in Research & Innovation dashboards and reports is intended for internal use only. These metrics should not be considered final or shared externally without validation. Official, verified data is available approximately two weeks after the fiscal year ends, following the second closing fiscal period. If external reporting is required, consult with Research & Innovation administration to ensure the information aligns with university standards and accuracy.

For internal purposes, such as evaluating faculty, making departmental decisions or identifying trends within colleges, users should take a holistic approach. Individual metrics represent one part of an entity’s overall productivity and output, so careful interpretation is essential to making informed decisions.

Tools and Resources for Research Data

Research & Innovation integrates multiple platforms to provide comprehensive data analysis, including Power BI, Cognos reporting and Academic Analytics. Custom reports tailored to specific needs can also be requested and delivered by email or another preferred format.
