Startup Funding
Start-up funds support the development of new faculty’s scholarly and creative work and research over the first three years at Texas Tech. Funds must be requested for an individual by the college.

Research Facilities
Research Facilities manages the operation of facilities and equipment in areas like the Experimental Sciences Buildings I & II and the Academic Sciences Building. They also assist researchers in finding space for their research needs on campus.

Responsible Conduct of Research
Responsible Conduct of Research promotes responsible and productive research by providing education and guidance on ethical and safe research practices, including training for professional standards and conflicts of interest.
Human Research Protection Program
The Human Research Protection Program supports ethical human subject research at Texas Tech by implementing and monitoring policies, regulations, protocols and decisions set by the Institutional Review Board.
Financial Conflict of Interest Disclosure
The Financial Conflict of Interest Disclosure unit liaises with the Institutional Financial Disclosure committee and reviews and monitors financial disclosures to ensure research integrity and public trust in Texas Tech.
Export & Security Compliance
The Office of Export & Security Compliance equips Texas Tech faculty, staff and students with the knowledge and resources needed to comply with U.S. export control and security regulations.
Environmental Health & Safety
The Department of Environmental Health & Safety cultivates positive attitudes towards safety, security and preparedness by maintaining occupational and environmental protection programs that provide safe and healthy spaces to work and learn.

The Institute for Small Business helps community members in 117 counties of Texas start, grow and develop their small businesses by providing expertise in manufacturing, procurement and business development.
