Wickedly Smart: Fall 2026 Research Slam

Wickedly Smart: Fall 2026 Research Slam, October 27 at the Innovation Hub
  • When: Tuesday, October 27, 2026
  • Where: Innovation Hub
  • Who: All Texas Tech faculty
  • Time: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Join us for an evening of fast-paced research storytelling as we celebrate bold ideas, fresh discoveries, and the creativity of Texas Tech faculty at the Wickedly Smart: Fall 2026 Research Slam!

Faculty from all disciplines are invited to take the stage and present their research in just three minutes, with no slides or visual aids. This friendly competition challenges presenters to make their work accessible, engaging, and memorable for a broad audience.

Presentations are encouraged to connect, creatively or directly, to the Halloween-inspired theme of Wickedly Smart.

Whether you're presenting or cheering on your colleagues, everyone is welcome! Enjoy an evening of engaging conversations, interdisciplinary connections, and a lively celebration of the innovative research happening across Texas Tech.

Interested in presenting? Submit a 50–75-word abstract describing your proposed three-minute presentation and how it connects, loosely or directly, to the fall theme. Selected proposals will best align with the event's call and theme.

Research Development & Communications invites you to discover the ideas and people driving research forward at Texas Tech University.
