Cory L. Blackwell serves as Program Manager for the Office of Research Services. In his role as a Proposal Services Team member, he works with faculty/staff/students to develop budgets for their proposals, check proposals for completeness and prepare them for submission to different agencies. He obtains additional approvals, as necessary, from the Chancellor and the TTU Board of Regents. He also assists with preparation of reports and training.

Cory received his undergraduate degree in geography from Texas Tech University in 2000 and he received his MBA from Texas Tech in 2010 and is a Certified Pre-Award Research Administrator. Prior to joining ORS in October 2012, he spent eight years working as an Interpretive Specialist for the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department and the ten years prior to that working at a hands-on science and technology museum. Cory enjoys reading, billiards, kite flying and spending time with his wife and two kids.
