Cui Romo is Managing Director for the Office of Research Services. In his role, he writes and reviews contracts, subcontracts and agreements, negotiates awards, and resolves questions from sponsors and investigators for all federal sponsors. Cui also manages the ORS Award Services team.

Cui received an Undergraduate degree in History and in Political Science in 1996 from TTU. He received Juris Doctor from TTU School of Law in 2002.

He worked as an assistant district attorney with Lubbock County from 2003-2008. Prior to joining the ORS team, he worked in private practice primarily in general civil litigation, contracts, family law, and criminal defense. Cui also worked at Field, Manning, Stone, Hawthorne & Aycock, P.C. prior to coming to TTU. He is a member of the Lubbock Area Bar Association, and has been admitted to practice in Texas and Colorado.
