Marisol Alonzo serves as Research Compliance Specialist II for Financial Conflict of Interest in the Office of Research and Innovation (OR&I). In this role, Marisol monitors and promotes TTU Faculty compliance with federal requirements for full disclosure of any perceivable financial conflicts of interest, and monitors management plans designed and implemented by investigators, the AVPR, and the Investigator Financial Disclosure Committee (IFDC). She serves as a liaison for the IFDC committee.

Prior to joining the OR&I, Marisol was the Program Coordinator for the Plains Bridges to the Baccalaureate Program in the Department of Environmental Toxicology at Texas Tech University. She was involved with several TTU student chapters: SACNAS (the Society in Advancement for Chicanos, Native Americans in Science); CISER SSO; Golden Key Honour Society Texas Tech Chapter; Omega Chapter Phi Upsilon Omicron; Mentor Tech; and Techcfr (Tech Council on Family Relations).

Marisol received her Associate's in Science from SPC, a Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Studies, and Master's in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Texas Tech University. She is currently pursuing a Ph. D. in Educational Leadership and Policy, and Board Certification for Behavior Analyst.

She enjoys volunteering with Los Hermanos Familia for community events, and her church parish community. She enjoys spending time with her family and fur baby Milo.
