Robert "Bobby" Barr graduated from Texas Tech University with a major in Physical
Education and minor in Biology in 1971. He then taught school and coached in Three
Way ISD, Sands ISD and Sunray ISD. He began working for Mid-America Pipeline Company
in 1978 and moved into the Safety Profession in 1989. Bobby retired from Mid-America
in 2001 and started his work as an Environmental Health & Safety Manager for BJ Unichem
to complete their merger with BJ Services. He then worked as an EHS and Department
of Transportation manager for Zachery Construction and Dunnick Construction. Since
He has been a safety officer at Texas Tech since 2010 and is completing his 29th year
in the safety profession.
