Travis Dodson held many trade jobs including carpentry, roofing, HVAC and plumbing
on residential and commercial sites before coming to work for Texas Tech University.
Travis began his career at Tech at CHAP1 steam and chill water plant as an operator/mechanic
followed by a stent with the Physical plant in the HVAC shop. He then joined the Department
of Environmental Health & Safety and served nine years overseeing asbestos compliance
as a project manager and building inspector. Travis joined the Lab Safety section
in EHS in 2015 as a Safety Officer. This extensive experience working around the construction
and systems in the buildings of Tech make him an invaluable part of the Lab Safety
team.
