- Hands-on experience. You will get at least 1,200 hours of practical workplace experience (including a 400-hour off-campus internship), plus additional hours in state-of-the-art classroom kitchens and labs.

Potential Career Opportunities
Students graduating from the RHIM program have the opportunity to work with major hotel, resort, and restaurant organizations. They may work at corporate or in the field. Students from RHIM populate all levels of management from frontline to executive. RHIM students also may work in sales, retail, and operations. Beyond an industry career, RHIM students can pursue a masters and/or a doctoral degree. Masters graduates hold executive positions with top US hospitality organizations throughout Texas and the US. Doctoral graduates can be found at prestigious universities across the US and the globe.
