About the Workshops
The TransTech Laboratory at Texas Tech is hosting a series of completely free community workshops as part of our comprehensive study on local pedestrian and cyclist traffic safety.
Designed for Lubbock County residents, families, local cyclists, and commuters, these sessions share 10-year localized traffic safety findings, map out regional conflict hotspots, and gather direct resident feedback on neighborhood traffic concerns.
By participating, attendees will learn how to identify local traffic blind spots, discover best practices for road safety, and see how university engineering research directly informs city infrastructure planning to build safer streets.
What it is
An outreach effort sharing 10 years of local safety data and gathering community input that informs safer street design.
Who it's for
Lubbock County residents, families, cyclists, and commuters — no background required. Anyone who cares about safer streets is welcome.
How it works
A short online session (about one hour) over Teams/Zoom, plus a brief survey that lets you share your experiences and local concerns.
