Appreciation

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to David and Karen Pace for their remarkable generosity in creating the David and Karen Pace Advanced Software and Systems Lab within the Computer Science Department in the Whitacre College of Engineering. David, who earned his BS in Computer Science in 1984 and has since retired from XTO Energy, Inc., has not only left a lasting impact on the industry but also on our academic community.

David's dedication to our department extends beyond his generous donation. He actively participates as a member of the Computer Science Advisory Board and Dean's Council, contributing invaluable insights and expertise to our programs. In recognition of his outstanding career achievements, David was inducted into the Computer Science Academy in 2017.

We are profoundly grateful for David and Karen Pace's commitment to advancing education and innovation in the field of computer science, and their contributions will undoubtedly leave a legacy for generations to come.
