A Different Approach

One of the questions we are asked most frequently is what makes an Honors course different from other courses taught here at Texas Tech. Are they like AP courses in high school, where students must read more books and do more assignments? Though that may be true for a couple of our Honors courses, in general what sets Honors courses apart is:

• Class size! Most courses have 25 or fewer students!
• Stellar professors! Honors works across campus to provide students with professors proven to be great teachers!
• Depth of information, rather than just merely volume!
• Cross-discipline approaches!
• Driven students, who push each other to excel!

Degree Tracking Sheets

Honors students can be found in every academic college on campus. Honors College Advisors have created "degree tracking sheets" to help students plan their Honors courses efficiently. The sheets are essentially roadmaps for students, complete with suggested course options. There are sheets for each of TTU's academic colleges, as well as TTUHSC's School of Allied Health.

Fall 2014 Course Offerings
