Lifespan Human Development Through the Eyes of Artists

This 21-day study tour addresses development of individuals, from infancy through old age, within family and cultural contexts in the USA and Italy.

Students will experience five cities: Rome, Florence, Bologna, Venice, and Milan. Lectures on development from infancy through old age will be complemented by excursions to museums and historical sites that will introduce students to iconic images by Michelangelo and others that transformed Western thought on what it means to be human. Join us as we visit the Sistine Chapel in Vatican City, Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice, Galleria degli Uffizi in Florence, and Museo del Novecento in Milan. Additional tours will take students to Bologna's Museum of Science, a local vineyard, and centers that offer social services.
