Iris V. Rivero, Ph.D.; Associate Professor

Research Interests: Design, fabrication, and statistical characterization of nanomaterials/composites, carbon nanotubes: fabrication and macro-applications, NDT: X-ray Diffraction, fatigue/failure analysis, modeling of residual stresses in aerospace and automotive materials.

James L. Simonton, Ph.D., P.E., Assistant Professor

Research Interests: Systems and engineering management, engineering economics, textile engineering, facilities engineering and manufacturing management

James L. Smith, Ph.D., P.E., CPE; E.L. Derr Professor

Research Interests: Occupational ergonomics including work physiology, biomechanics, workplace design, manual materials handling, anthropometry, and human strength assessment.

Milton L. Smith, Ph.D., P.E.; Professor

Research Interests: Production scheduling and control including sequencing and scheduling algorithms, simulation modeling of manufacturing systems, design and evaluation of production systems, and impact testing of materials including hail and explosive propelled objects.

Shiren (Edward) Wang , Ph.D.; Assistant Professor

Research Interests:  Nano-manufacturing; synthesis, assembly and characterization of one-dimensional nanomaterials; design and manufacturing of polymer composites and functional materials; nanostructured materials for solar cell applications; modeling and simulation for manufacturing process and system.
