Shayla Swain was selected as a 2009-2010 NASA/Texas Space Grant Consortium Fellow.

Dr. Iris V. Rivero received the 2009 Society of Manufacturing Engineers Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award, the award will be presented in June 2009 at SME Annual Conference in Philadelphia, PA.

Rula Allaf successfully passed her qualifying exam in Decemeber 2008 and is now a Ph.D. candidate.

Rocio Hernandez Master's Thesis approved.
