Green Award

The GREEN Award Program is sponsored by TTU's International Center for Arid and Semiarid Land Studies (ICASALS), with the purpose of encouraging K-12 teachers to create projects that will heighten student awareness of environmental issues. The program supports initiatives that make students stakeholders in ecological or environmental issues. A project should produce measurable benefits, be self-sustained, and have continuity in the future. It is desirable that the submitter's institution or community adopts the program. Projects should involve science, arts, or engineering, and contribute in unique and creative ways to the solution of environmental problems (land, water, and air) or ecosystem issues.
