For more than six decades [1892-1954] this immigrant station processed hundreds of
thousands of people into the United States. Travel back to the early 1900's and experience
what it was like to come to America as an immigrant.
The diverse geography found in Texas affected the settlement and development of indigenous
cultures. This program focuses on four tribes, their economies, traditions, and influence
on modern Texas. *Note: 7th Grade Only.
This program explores the qualities of citizenship and leadership through our collaboration
with the Joe Foss Institute. Students will hear from American heroes, learn the significance
of our founding documents, and gain appreciation for freedom.
What is culture? This program explores the characteristics and qualities that create
cultural landscapes. Open your students' minds by examining the traits through which
culture is expressed. *Participation of international students based on availability.
This program is designed as an introduction to a unit or region of the world. It
will cover the basics of geography and how it affects the way people live in the region.
