Mapping the Culture of Australia:
This program will include interaction and discussion with international students,
cultural activities and celebrations, and examples of artifacts of Australia. *Note: Part of International students based on availability
Joe Foss- VIP [Veteran's Inspiring Patriotism]:
This program is a collaboration with the Joe Foss Institute to bring veteran volunteer
speakers to the classroom. Topics include civics, citizenship, leadership, patriotism,
♦ Ellis Island:
For more than six decades [1892-1954] this immigrant station processed hundreds of
thousands of people into the United States. Travel back to the early 1900's and experience
what it was like to come to America as an immigrant. *Note: 11th Grade Only
Regional Geography Expedition:
This program is designed as an introduction to a unit or region of the world. It will
cover the basics of geography and how it affects the way people live in the region.
*Note: 9th Grade Only
♦ Communication-The Expression of Language: (Coming Soon)
This program highlights development of communication through the earliest forms of
writing to modern-day languages. Students will follow the diffusion of French, Spanish,
German, and English.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS: THESE PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED IN MORNING AND AFTERNOON SESSIONS ON
A SPECIFIC DAY AT THE ICC. THIS ALLOWS US TO SERVE A LARGER NUMBER OF STUDENTS. RESERVATIONS
ARE MADE AT LEAST TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE.
