Raider Welcome is a series of FUN and FREE events designed to welcome new and returning students to the Texas Tech campus. Raider Welcome starts with Residence Hall move-in and continues throughout the first week of classes.
By the end of the schedule of activities, you'll have all the tools you need to finish your year at Texas Tech University strong. Among the activities are a few major events, some old-standing traditions, and some exciting new opportunities that you just cannot afford to miss!
During Raider Welcome, you will:

😊 Get to know your roommates/fellow classmates before classes start

Do I have to attend Raider Welcome events?
Raider Welcome isn’t required, but it’s one of the best ways to kick off your Red Raider experience. You’ll meet new people, explore campus, and discover resources that will help you succeed—all while having fun.

You’ll find everything from socials and outdoor activities to resource fairs, game
nights, and service projects. Whether you’re into live entertainment, free food, or
