Join Student Engagement's Social Media Team

Student Engagement is looking for several students to fill positions on our media marketing team. Our office oversees a variety of programs, including Raider Roundup, Hub City Fest, the Majors & Minors Fair, Transfer Connection, and more. We are passionate about student success and helping students thrive both in and out of the classroom. We are looking for creative individuals who can help us develop content for our channels that will engage both incoming and current students and help them successfully transition to life at Texas Tech.

Who should apply?

You! It doesn't matter whether this is your first semester or you're a fifth year senior. You don't even need tons of experience. You just need to be enthusiastic, creative, driven, and willing to learn.

What are the benefits?

All social media team positions are paid at a rate of $10/hour and average about 15-20 hours per week (depending on the position). In addition to pay, you will gain valuable resume-enhancing skills that employers are looking for - including communication, teamwork, critical thinking, project management, and social media literacy. Plus, we are a FUN office to work in (if we say so ourselves...). But don't just take our word for it! Check out what one of our former interns had to say:

My experience as a social media intern for Student Engagement prepared me with a great foundation of skills that I now use daily in my full-time Communications Coordinator position following graduation. My internship allowed me to build and further grow many skills such as graphic design, photography, content management and creation, communications, and more! Having that well-rounded experience in all those different skill areas gave me a great advantage and talking point when interviewing with potential employers.
