What other Insurance options do I have?

We recommend all students have health care insurance. Texas Tech University undertook a competitive and open process in accordance with governing law and regulation to solicit bids from interested insurance carriers. Based on the competition, Academic Health Plans was awarded the contract. Parents are encouraged to compare AHP premiums with the premiums they pay to keep their child on their existing plan as AHP may be more affordable than their current plan and is uniquely designed to meet the health care needs of college students.
