Animal Health and Industry

The Department of Veterinary Science is located on the Texas Tech University Lubbock campus (not to be confused with the TTU School of Veterinary Medicine in Amarillo), and offers a master’s degree in Animal Health and Industry

The Animal Health and Industry degree provides students with knowledge and skillsets to design strategies to mitigate detrimental impacts of health issues in animals. This will include identification of major health issues and analysis and interpretation of research data.

The degree is flexible and can be taken face-to-face, online, or a hybrid of both. It has both a thesis and non-thesis option. The non-thesis option is interdisciplinary and can be finished in as little as one calendar year with only 30 course hours necessary to complete. Both thesis and nonthesis degrees are designed for students who want to gain additional research skills, coursework, and soft skills to pursue interests in animal care and health.
