The ASCE Texas Civil Engineering Conference—CECON™ is a statewide gathering of civil engineering professionals, public agencies, researchers, innovators, and emerging professionals. The 2026 conference was organized around the theme “Revitalizing Resiliency” and focused on how infrastructure can be designed, planned, constructed, and maintained with resilience at the forefront.

Held September 16–18 in Corpus Christi, Texas, the conference addressed challenges including climate adaptation, resource management, infrastructure durability, and long-term community well-being. Its technical program created opportunities for researchers and practitioners to exchange evidence, methods, and practical perspectives on the future of infrastructure in Texas.

CECREH connected resilient-housing research with engineering practice, public policy, and community-scale decision-making.

The CECREH presenters and research topics included:

Together, the presentations demonstrated the breadth of CECREH’s work—from federal recovery programs and local implementation capacity to flood-risk communication, manufactured-housing performance, and emerging construction technologies. The full poster collection is available in the CECREH Documentation Hub.
