Research Focus:

The Department of Environmental Toxicology has a regionally, nationally, and globally important multidisciplinary research focus on environmental, forensic, and human health sciences. The Department has a long history of internationally recognized research coupled with high-quality, well-developed research programs.

Environmental Toxicology faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students pursue basic and applied research to assess the impacts of toxic chemicals and other stressors on the natural environment. Forensic Science faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students pursue basic and applied research in forensic disciplines, ranging from forensic chemistry, biochemistry, and entomology. that develop innovative solutions and improve the reliability and accuracy of forensic methods.
